10 Years For Rapid City Woman in Meth Case

RAPID CITY, S.D. (AP) – A Rapid City woman who pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine has been sentenced to 10 years in federal prison.

28-year old Bryaunah Stewart will spend 5 years on supervised release after serving her sentence.

Prosecutors say Stewart distributed meth in the Rapid City area for about 8 months starting in November 2017. The drug had been brought from Colorado by Cathy Wells, who was sentenced to 20 years in prison last July.

The case was investigated by the DEA, Bureau of Alcohol-Tobacco-Firearms&Explosives, and the Unified Narcotics Enforcement Team – composed of officers from the Rapid City Police Department, Pennington County Sheriff’s Office, South Dakota Division of Criminal Investigation, and the South Dakota National Guard
