18,564 Active COVID-19 Cases In Nebraska

  Nebraska Health and Human Services reported 734 new cases of COVID-19 on Sunday along with 327 recoveries, putting the number of active cases at 18,564 – a new record for the state. There are 343 coronavirus patients in the hospital. 

          Nebraska has now had 58,068 cases, 548 deaths, and 38,956 recoveries. The number of available hospital beds and ICU beds rose again to 38% and 37% respectively while availability of ventilators stayed at 78%.      

         Data from Johns Hopkins University puts the state’s rate of new cases per 100,000 residents over the past 2 weeks at 514.65, the 6th-highest among all states on Saturday. 

          Also, the state’s 7-day rolling average of the positivity rate on COVID-19 tests increased to 18.02%. The goal is 3% or less.
