
The South Dakota Highway Patrol says three men were killed Tuesday afternoon when their Maserati rear-ended a semi on Interstate 90 near Sturgis.
Names have not been released pending notification of family.
The Patrol says the accident occurred just after 2:00 in the eastbound lanes of the freeway about 5 miles west of Sturgis.
The 3 men in the Maserati – the 21-year old driver and the 22-year old and 55-year old passengers – were pronounced dead at the scene. All were wearing seat belts
The 77-year-old man driving the semi and his 74-year-old female passenger were not hurt. He was wearing a seat belt, she was not.
