35 More COVID-19 Deaths In Nebraska, 1 In Sheridan County

     The number of COVID-19 deaths in Nebraska rose by 35 on Thursday, bringing the state total to 1,329. 

       There were 1,850 new cases and 2,311 recoveries with the number of active cases dropping to 67,537 including 779 hospitalized – 2 fewer than Wednesday

It’s the fifth time in 6 days that the number has been under 800 after spending a month over 800. 

      The percentage of available hospital beds and ventilators both went up a point to 27% and 70% respectively while ICU beds jumped 3 points to 26%.

       Nebraska has had 145,774 total cases and 76,908 recoveries since the beginning of the pandemic. 

     Panhandle Unified Command reported 13 deaths – including 1 in Sheridan County – 77 new cases and 227 recoveries. The number of active cases dropped to 1,537  including 52 that are hospitalized. 

       There have been 6,790 confirmed cases with 5,108 recoveries and 95 deaths since the pandemic began.

       Dawes County reported 7 new cases, 54 active cases, 511 total cases, 441 recoveries, and 17 deaths.

      Chadron State College now has 4 active cases, 3 students and 1 employee, with 144 total cases, 118 students and 26 staff. The last active case in the Chadron Public Schools has recovered, but there are 13 quarantines. There have been 33 total cases.

     Box Butte County has 721 confirmed cases with 116 active and 7 deaths, Sheridan County stands at 315 cases, 56 active, and 7 deaths while Sioux County is unchanged at 20 cases with 2 active and 1 death.
