The South Dakota Department of Health reported 781 new confirmed COVID-19 cases, 36 deaths, and 1,584 recoveries on Wednesday.
The number of active cases in the state dropped to 16,783.
The state has had 81,280 confirmed cases, 1,147 COVID-19 related deaths, and 70,728 recoveries.
There are 501 people currently hospitalized with the virus, occupying 18% of the state’s hospital beds and 35% of its ICU beds. Officials say 35% of hospital beds and 26% of ICU beds are still available.
In Wyoming, the state health department reported 19 new coronavirus-related deaths, including a Goshen County man who had been hospitalized, The state’s death toll now stands at 299.
Wyoming also reported 334 new confirmed cases and 343 recoveries, dropping the of active cases to 4,090. The total number of cases recorded in Wyoming so far is 32,889 with 28,500 recoveries.
