Active And Hospitalized COVID Cases Both Drop In Nebraska

     Nebraska recorded another 14 COVID-19 deaths on Friday, bringing the state total to 1,343

       There were 1,103 new cases and 1,998 recoveries with the number of active cases dropping to 66,628 including 759 hospitalized – 20 fewer than Wednesday and the 6th  time in 7 days that the number has been under 800 after spending a month over 800. 

      The availability of both hospital beds and ICU beds stand 28% with 72% of ventilators available. 

       Nebraska has had 146,877 total cases and 78,906 recoveries since the beginning of the pandemic. 

     Panhandle Unified Command reported 77 new cases and 152 recoveries. The number of active cases dropped to 1,512  including 50 that are hospitalized. 

       There have been 6,867 confirmed cases with 5,260 recoveries and 95 deaths since the pandemic began.

       Dawes County reported 5 new cases, 5 recoveries and no deaths with 53 active cases, 516 total cases, 446 recoveries, and 17 deaths.

      Chadron State College was unchanged at 4 active cases, 3 students and 1 employee, with 144 total cases, 118 students and 26 staff. Chadron Public Schools has no active cases, 33 total cases and 3 quarantines. 

     Box Butte County has 731 confirmed cases with 123 active and 7 deaths, Sheridan County stands at 334 cases, 74 active, and 7 deaths while Sioux County has 20 cases with 1 active and 1 death.
