The South Dakota Dept of Health reported 552 new confirmed COVID-19 cases, 30 deaths, and 588 recoveries on Thursday to push the number of active case to 16,234.
There are 491 people currently hospitalized with the virus, occupying 18% of the state’s hospital beds and 35% of its ICU beds. Officials say 35% of hospital beds and 26% of ICU beds are still available.
The state has had 81,835 confirmed cases, 1,177 COVID-19 related deaths, and 71,316 recoveries.
In Wyoming, the state health department reported 314 new confirmed cases and 1,079 recoveries, dropping the of active cases below 4,000 to 3,325.
There were no deaths, so the state’s death toll remains at 299 with 32,203 total cases and 29,579 recoveries.
