Active COVID Cases Back Over 3,000 In Wyo, Still Over 12.7-K In SD

     The South Dakota Dept of Health reported 490 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 on Sunday, along with 785 recoveries and 16 deaths – dropping the number of active cases to 12,747 with 436 hospitalized. 

       South Dakota’s total of confirmed cases now stands at 83,714 with 77,032 recoveries and 1,259 deaths – including 313 so far in December.      

    Statistics compiled Saturday by Johns Hopkins University researchers showed nearly 1,282 new cases per 100,000 people in South Dakota over the past two weeks, which ranks 3ird in the country for new cases per capita.      

Wyoming on Sunday reported 411 new confirmed cases with 97 recoveries and no deaths, sending the number of active cases back up over 3,000 to 3,112.

The state has had 34,168 confirmed cases with 30,735 recoveries and 321 deaths.
