Republican Congressman Adrian Smith of Gering has filed for reelection to a 9-term from the vast 3rd Congressional District, which touches all of Nebraska’s neighboring states.
Smith says he’s running again because “there is a sense of urgency to restore common sense and fiscal responsibility in Washington (as) the listless presidency of Joe Biden and his elite liberal allies…threatens to destabilize our country and our economy.”
Smith serves on the tax-focused Ways and Means Committee and is the ranking member of a trade subcommittee.
He and his wife live in Gering with their two young children.
