Nebraska administered nearly 135,000 doses of coronavirus vaccines last week, about 19,000 more than the previous week as the state continued to ramp up distribution of the shots. More than 40,000 shots were given in a single day.

Health and Human Services recorded 140 new confirmed cases of all strains Sunday along with 2 deaths, bringing the pandemic total to 216,613 cases and 2,215 deaths. There are 47,316 active cases including 168 who are currently hospitalized.
The seven-day rolling average of daily new cases in Nebraska decreased over the past two weeks, going from 484 new cases per day on April 3 to 324 on Saturday.
