Alouysius Boyd White Dress was born on September 10, 1970 in Pine Ridge, SD to Francis White Dress, Sr. and Adeline (Sun Bear) White Dress. Our precious brother, uncle, and friend, Aloysius, made his journey to the Spirit World on November 26, 2021 at the Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD.
Alouysius was a very humble and caring person who loved his family very much. He did not have any of his own children so he loved his nieces and nephews like his own.
His nieces and nephews are Elthea Lame, Carrie Thunder Hawk,, Ahlisha Thunder Hawk, Luta Thunder Hawk, Mary Thunder Hawk, Belle Blue Bird, Catherine Blue Bird, Adeline White Dress, Christina White Dress, Autumn White Dress, Donovan Thunder Hawk, Jr., Andy Thunder Hawk, William Blue Bird, Trevor White Dress, Yamni White Dress, Michael White Dress, Wallace White Dress, Jr., Willis Zephier, Byron White Dress, Theodore Lame, Jr., Larry Lame, Francis Ryan Lame, and Timothy White Dress, Sr.
He also had numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom he loved like his own.
Alouysius is survived by his sisters, Mary (Ted) Lame, Cynthia (Donovan) Thunder Hawk, Lucille White Dress, Millie (Steven) White Dress, Jolene (Brennan) Ten Fingers, Georgette Red Shirt, Debra White Dress, and Helen Red Feather; brothers, Wallace (Delphine) White Dress, Taylor White Dress, John (Bessie) White Dress, and Edward White Dress, Jr.; aunts, Sharon (Randy) Love, Melinda (Rob) Stead, Mary Jane Bastion-Sun Bear, Delilah White Dress, and Barbara High Pine; and uncles, Paul White Dress and Randi Lowe.
Alouysius was preceded in death by his father, Francis White Dress, Sr.; mother, Adeline (Sun Bear) White Dress; grandparents, James & Amelia (Red Bear) White Dress and Jess & Mollie (High Pine) Sun Bear; sister, Janice Sun Bear; brothers, Francis White Dress, Jr. and Richard White Dress; aunts, Pearl White Dress, Cecelia Frazier, Rachel (Sun Bear) White Dress, and Peggie White Dress; uncles, Floyd White Eyes, Cordell, Maynard, Marlin, Melvin, Harold, & Curtis Sun Bear, and Edward White Dress, Sr.; nephews, James Jesse White Dress and Asa Blue Bird; nieces, Emily Blue Bird, Loreli Lame, and Frankie Thunder Horse; and granddaughter, Shirley Fresquez.
