Can we please address the lack of snow removal? I drove from Denver into Chadron on Saturday (I live in Chadron but was out of town and drove back in), and out of all the small towns I drove through on the way home, Chadron was the ONLY one who didn’t remove snow and let all the cars pack it down into an ice block. I can’t get out of my house on the street I live because of a hill, I have to take the ally and go up another street. Why in the world is snow not removed at a quicker pace? This is the only town I have ever witnessed in all my years of the Midwest, from Missouri, Kansas, South Dakota and both East and West Nebraska where snow fall is treated as “ehhh….I’ll do it later.” Seriously. I could do a better job with a lawn mower. How many accidents are related to poor removal of snow by the city? I have never seen such poor snow management in my entire life. Donner pass in California received over 210 inches of snow a week or so ago. Yes, 210+ inches of snow, over 17 feet, and they had it cleared completely in 3 days and reopened the roads. Yet, we get 6 inches of snow and can’t remove it in 5 days?
