Area Wrestlers Show Off At Gordon-Rushville Invite Posted by Jeremy Anderson Date: December 14, 2020 634 Views Photo Courtesy: Jill Paopao The short handed Chadron High wrestling team placed all eight of their available wrestlers at the Gordon-Rushville Invitational on Saturday. Leading the way was Kade Waggener with a 1st place finish at 182-lbs. Sawyer Haag was runner-up at 170-lbs. At 152-lbs, Daniel Wellnitz was runner-up. Fia Rasmussen took 2nd place in the girls A bracket. Rhett Cullers ended his day in 4th at 160-lbs. Dewey McMann and Uzziah Schwartz came in 6th at 132 and 113-lbs respectively. Braden Underwood was 7th in his weight class at 120-lbs. Chadron hits the road again this weekend for the Valentine Invite on Friday. Lone Crawford wrestler Kolby Welling was 5th place in the 160-lb weight class. Jahrett Anderson (106) and Wesley Jacobs (126) of Hay Springs both took 4th place at their weights. Competing for Sioux County, Jadon Skavdahl was 5th at 113-lbs and Quint Starkey placed 5th at 220-lbs.
