Arrest Made In Scottsbluff

A Scottsbluff man has been arrested in connection with a homicide discovered Wednesday morning.

Scottsbluff Police Chief Kevin Spencer says 54-year-old Gregory Moore is being held on charges of 2nd Degree Murder and Felony Use of a Weapon in the death of 23-year old Fernando Camacho-McBride, also of Scottsbluff.

Police found Camacho-McBride’s body while conducting a welfare check on Moore at a Scottsbluff residence.

Spencer says an autopsy was performed Saturday morning and that those results and evidence collected during the investigation was sent to the county attorney’s office to help determine formal charges.

The case is the first homicide in Scottsbluff since the New Year’s Eve murder of a woman almost 4 years ago.
