Arrow Building Center in Chadron opened in 1984. The original store was on the one hundred block of King Street.
In early 1991, as the business grew, Larry and Thelma moved into the building the business occupies today on West Third Street (Highway 20) in Chadron. The building was formerly owned by an implement dealership.
Larry started working in the lumber yard business when he was eighteen. Son Mike grew up in the business, and today he continues the family tradition of serving both the general public and professional contractors with everything they need for a remodel or a complete build.
