Viewing services for 46-year old Artie Pawnee Leggins are Friday, Oct 30, 2020 from 3:00-5:00 PM at the Sioux Funeral Home in Pine Ridge, SD, with traditional Lakota services by Mr Paul Forney
Cremation will follow the viewing with burial to be held at a later date.
Artie Lamon Pawnee Leggins was born on August 19, 1974 in Pine Ridge, SD to Delphine Pawnee Leggins. Artie made his journey to the Spirit World on October 27, 2020 at the Dougherty Hospice House in Sioux Falls, SD.
Artie is survived by his siblings, Arden Pawnee Leggins of Sioux Falls, SD, David Brewer of Pine Ridge, SD, Elwood, Aaron, and Edwin, Jr. Broken Rope, all of Kyle, SD, Renae Burns Prairie, Katrina Broken Rope, and Elvira Broken Rope, all of Rapid City, SD; and uncle, Zach of Sioux Falls, SD.
Artie was preceded in death by his mother, Delphine Pawnee Leggins and beloved auntie, Marie Pawnee Leggins.
Pallbearers will be Victor Janis, Jay Janis, Jack Janis, Eleazer Andrews, Aaron Andrews, Donald Janis, Billy Jack Janis, Thomas Brings, Arnold Brown, Skip Sully, Arden Pawnee Leggins, and Dwight Pawnee Leggins.
Honorary pallbearers will be All Friends & Family in Rapid City and Sioux Falls area.
