A one-night wake service starts Friday, March 26, at 4:00 PM at the Martin Activity Center in Martin, SD.
Ashley Jerome Cottier was born on October 11, 1976 in Pine Ridge, SD to Ampering Cottier. He made his journey to the Spirit World on March 17, 2021 in Fosston, MN.
Ashley’s grandmother, Mabel Cottier, adopted him when he was born. He lived with her until her death when he was 12 years old. Keena Clausen then adopted him. He lived with his aunt Pearl for a few years and then with Keena.
Ashley is survived by his mother, Keena Clausen; son, Tyrell Wolfe; sisters, Skylee Kamerzell, Cheyenne Cottier, and Dakota Moore; brothers, Allen Libby, Ernie Libby, and Eric Terkildsen; aunts, Kim Clausen, Keeley Clausen, Georgina Blue Bird, and Winona Cottier; uncles, Jess Clausen, Virgil Clausen, and Shad Clausen; special friends, Cora & Vicki, Sandra Belcourt, Sissy Jo, Celeste, Tracy Mata, Julia, LaVonne Peterson, and Grandma Pat Butcher; favorite nieces, Stormie, Lakota, Thea, Loni, Lacy, Mableann, Cecelia, Abby Shelby, and Sidney Libby, favorite nephews, Bear, Joe, Wade, Bill, Roby, Shadow Blue, Dale Libby, Jr., Daysen, and Keyson; and numerous nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.
Ashley was preceded in death by his biological mother, Ampering; grandmother, Mabel; beloved aunty/mom/grandma, Pearl “Mammy” Cottier; brother, Dale “Butch” Libby; aunts, Erma Cummings, Jeanie Cottier, Rebecca Apple, and Beatrice DuBray; uncles, Newton “Buzz” Cummings and Joe Cottier; and numerous cousins and friends.
