Funeral services for 54-year old Benita Ann Feather Earring are Tuesday, October 13, 2020 at 4:00 PM at House 31 North Ridge in Pine Ridge, SD, with Lay Minister Anthony Wounded Head officiating.
Burial services are at Holy Cross Episcopal Cemetery, Pine Ridge, SD
Visitation will precede the funeral from 1:00 – 4:00 PM, also at House 31 North Ridge in Pine Ridge
Benita Ann Feather Earring was born on April 8, 1966 in Pine Ridge, SD to Benjamin Conquering Bear and Alvina (Grass) Feather Earring. Benita made her journey to the Spirit World on October 7, 2020 at the Monument Health Hospital in Rapid City, SD.
Benita was preceded in death by her spouse, Jerry Cottier, Sr.; granddaughter, Whisper Cottier; sister, Fermina Feather Earring; brother, Donroy Feather Earring; and grandparents, John & Etta Grass.
Benita is survived by her parents, Ben Conquering Bear & Alvina Feather Earring children, Amber Cottier, Jerry Cottier, Jr., Feather Cottier, Haylee Cottier, and Calista Cottier all of Pine Ridge, SD, and Harlen Cottier of Apache, OK; grandchildren, Jerrik John Cottier-Dillon, Stormy Red Wing, Dennis Janis, Ivan Janis, Jr., and Eric Cottier all of Pine Ridge, SD, and Brayden Cottier of Apache, OK; and siblings, Verla Feather Earring of Sioux City, IA, Gerda Feather Earring of Minneapolis, MN, Shirlene Feather Earring of Porcupine, SD, Millie Feather Earring of Sioux Falls, SD, Tana Boyd, Latoya Feather Earring and Malcolm Feather Earring all of Porcupine, SD.
Pallbearers will be James Red Cloud, Luke Ponds, Shawn Davis, Ivan Janis, Sr., John “Cakes” LaDeaux, LaFawn Conroy, Misun Morrisette, and Chance Gomez.
