Graveside services for 82-year old Bessie Woman Dress are  Saturday, October 10, 2020 at 2:00 pm at the St. Phillip’s Episcopal Cemetery near Manderson, SD, with Lay Minister Anthony Wounded Head officiating

Bessie Ellen Woman Dress was born on November 23, 1937 in Manderson, SD to Joseph Woman Dress and Alvina (Ghost) Woman Dress-Crazy Bear. 

Bessie made her journey to the Spirit World on October 2, 2020 at the Monument Health Hospital in Rapid City, SD.

Bessie died on the same day as her 55-year old son Keenan “Butch” Pickett, who passed away at his home in Rapid City.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Woman Dress and Alvina (Ghost) Woman Dress-Crazy Bear; siblings, Eleanor Woman Dress, Myrna Woman Dress, Larry Crazy Bear, Belva Crazy Bear; niece, Madeline Carol BroncoBill; nephews, Gale BroncoBill and Bill BroncoBill.

Bessie is survived by her siblings, Alvis Crazy Bear of Hot Springs, SD, Julia Herbaugh and Lucy Slycord both of Murdo, SD, and Melva Crazy Bear of Lawrence, KS; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Pallbearers will be Erik Crazy Bear, Doug Pol, Ben Smith, Cody McNaught, Wilmer Bad Yellow Hair, and Matt BroncoBill.

Honorary pallbearers will be all friends & relatives.
