One person was killed and one hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after their 3-wheeled motorcycle crashed on a sharp corner about 3:00 Friday afternoon in the Black Hills near Keystone. Names have not been released.
The South Dakota Highway Patrol says the trike was westbound on Old Hill City Road about 3 miles east of town when the 64-year old male driver failed to negotiate the corner.
The bike went off the road and the driver and his 58-year old female passenger were both thrown from it.
He was pronounced dead at the scene while she was taken to a Rapid City hospital. Neither of them was wearing a helmet.
