The Dawes County Fair Board will recognize Brian Taylor as the recipient of the Extra Miler Award that annually goes to someone who—well—goes the extra mile to help with the county fair.
Brian was a member of the fair board for 11 years. His wife thought that was probably enough. Urged him to take a break, but said he could buy a Harley. No arm-twisting there.
The current fair board members note that Brian has remained just a phone call away and is always involved with the motor sports events—announcing the nightly events, helping clean up before and afterwards. They say he fits the definition of a true Volunteer.
He’ll be recognized Sunday afternoon during the fair’s Ag Hall of Fame program
