Broncos Get Practice For Opener In Empty Stadium Scrimmage

The Denver Broncos got a taste of what their season opener will look like in two weeks when they scrimmaged at an empty stadium on Saturday.

The Broncos open against the Tennessee Titans on a Monday night to cap opening weekend. They are among the 16 or so NFL that aren’t allowing any spectators on Week One.

But teams without fans are planning to pipe in crowd noise to simulate the usual din.

Quarterback Drew Lock and linebacker Von Miller said it was strange playing in an empty stadium where there’s usually 70,000 roaring fans.
