The 17-year-old brother of the Lincoln teenager charged with fatally shooting Lincoln Police Investigator Mario Herrera 5 weeks ago is now facing a gun-related charge connected to the shooting.
. Angel Mendoza is being held on $100,000 bond on a charge of possession or receiving a stolen firearm.
Brother Felipe Vazquez, also 17, is charged with 1st-degree murder and other crimes in the attack on Herrera – who was shot Aug. 26 and died at a hospital on September 7th.
