Billionaire investor Warren Buffett told the University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s virtual commencement ceremony that he would gladly trade places with the graduates even with the uncertain times because of the opportunity they have ahead of them.
In the talk that aired this weekend at his alma mater, Buffett said graduates should feel lucky to get the education they did and to have the chance to start their careers in the United States today.
Buffett also repeated some of the advice he often gives young people – especially to seek out a job they love to do working for a company they admire.
It was the third virtual conferral of degrees for Nebraska since the coronavirus pandemic began late last winter.
Buffett’s commencement remarks can be seen at the UNL website. The “Go Big Grad” virtual celebration is at commencement.unl.edu.
