Candace Rose Heminger-Brewer was born on February 14, 1976 in Rapid City, SD to Edwin Rafael Brewer and Ruth Ann Red Elk.  Candace made her journey to the Spirit World on May 12, 2022 at the Ogden Regional Medical Center in Ogden, UT.

Candace had three children – Jerrod Joseph Red Leaf, Bradley Thomas Cook, and Alexis Jewel Heminger – and loved them very much.

Candace was a very intelligent, loving, and artistic person; anybody that ever met her was welcomed with help and love. She was very caring and loved everybody she came across.

Candace worked at a lot of places and very hard throughout her life, but loved volunteering her time at the Hope center.

Anything Candace put her mind to, she conquered with a personality that warmed a room. She was a beautiful person inside and out, and had many friends and loved them all.

Candace loved to fancy dance and was a very talented fancy dancer with her own style that won her the title of Kicking Bear Princess.

She loved traveling and was very talented in her Gypsy ways; you couldn’t keep her in one place. She will now be looking down from heaven, still cheering for the Ravens.

Candace was a well-loved daughter, sister, mother, auntie, niece, cousin, and friend who will be truly missed but never forgotten. Her memory and life and love will live on forever in the hearts of her friends and the people that loved her.

Candace loved and cared for everyone she came across and would give them the clothes off her back. Long live the memory of Candace Heminger-Brewer.

Candace is survived by her daughter Alexis Jewel Heminger; son Bradley Cook; siblings Dennis George Red Elk, Denise Louise Comer Leanhart, Billi Delma Ann Schroeder, and Allyssa Rose Comer.
