Funeral services for 38-year old Cetan “Skyhawk” Thunder Hawk are Tues, Jan 18, 2022 at 1:00 at the Thunder Hawk residence. 116 Thunder Hawk Lane in Porcupine, SD, with traditional Lakota services by Mr Emerson Spider Jr.
Burial is at the Thunder Hawk Family Cemetery in Porcupine.
A one-night wake service starts Monday, Jan 17, at noon, also at the Thunder Hawk residence in Porcupine.
Cetan Mahpiya “Skyhawk” Thunder Hawk was born on September 23, 1983 in Pine Ridge, SD to Lois E. Thunder Hawk and Francis C. Thunder Hawk. Skyhawk made his journey to the Spirit World on January 9, 2022 in Porcupine, SD.
Skyhawk attended Elementary school at Our Lady of Lourdes and Porcupine School. He also attended Little Wound High School. He then continued on to Pine Ridge Job Corp. He had a lot of compassion and helped out a lot of relatives.
Skyhawk is survived by his mother, Lois E. Thunder Hawk; daughter, Skyelinn Johanna Renee Thunder Hawk; sons, Mahpiya Lee Thunder Hawk, Akicita Antoine Thunder Hawk, and Cree lane Thunder Hawk; and siblings, Tom, Brian, Simon, Joe, Charlie, Jennifer, Becky, Suzette, and Glenda Thunder Hawk.
Skyhawk was preceded in death by his father, Francis C. Thunder Hawk; and sister, Hannah J. Dodge Thunder Hawk.
Pallbearers will be Miles Left Hand, Jim Little Bull, Flint Tall, Glen Richards, Marshall Two Eagle, Ricky Jealous of Him, Shark Romandia, and Tokala Thunder Hawk.
Honorary pallbearers will be All Singers, Riders, Tokalas, NAC Members, Sundancers, and Tiwahe.
