The main or lap pool at the Chadron Area Aquatics and Wellness Center, closed for the last 4 months by problems with the heating system for the water, will reopen Tuesday morning with normal hours.
Installation of a new $100,000 dual boiler system was completed late last week with heating of the water beginning on Friday.
City spokesman Janet Johnson said Monday afternoon that the water temperature and chemistry were within standards, allowing the pool to reopen in the morning.
The smaller and warmer therapy pool will go back to its regular hours as well. The therapy pool had been opened for limited general public use the past couple of months while the lap pool was closed.
