A Gage Wild 45-yard touchdown scamper stopped a run of 14 straight Valentine points to cap off a 42-21 Chadron win over the Badgers on Friday night in a game that was delayed nearly 2-hours by severe weather.

Once the lightning cleared Quinn Bailey brought the thunder with an 81-yard touchdown just 21-seconds into the game to put the Cards on top.  Valentine answered with a 7-minute drive to tie the game at 7 with just over a minute left in the opening quarter.

Chadron dominated the 2nd quarter behind rushing scores from Bailey and Broc Berry and a 31-yard pitch and catch from Berry to Xander Provance.

The Badgers scored the only touchdown of the 3rd quarter and the first points of the 4th quarter both via the ground game to pull within 28-21.

Broc Berry would find the endzone for his 2nd rushing touchdown of the night with just under a minute left in the game to close out the win.

Chadron, now 3-1, will travel to Gothenburg next Friday for an afternoon affair against the Swedes.
