The Chadron Police Department and Dawes County Attorney/Coroner investigated the unattended death of 21 year old Emily Misner on Saturday morning, June 26th.
The Nebraska State Patrol was later called in to assist in the investigation.
Ms. Misner was found deceased by a local contractor who had entered a small business in downtown Chadron where remodeling work was being performed.
According to a release from the Dawes County Attorney/Coroner’s office, following a review of witness interviews and initial analysis of physical evidence, foul play was not involved in the cause of death.
The investigation will be ongoing, including an autopsy, toxicological screening, and additional testing ordered by the County Coroner.
Authorities are asking that if anyone had contact with Ms. Misner in the days prior to her death, or has additional information on the situation, to contact the Chadron PD at 432-0510 or the Nebraska State Patrol at 308-632-1211.
