Chadron PD Taking Steps To Reduce Face-To-Face Contact With Public Posted by John Axtell Date: March 30, 2020 2 Views CHADRON – The Chadron Police Department is changing some of its operational procedures in response to the coronavirus/COVID-19 pandemic. Chief Tim Lordino says the department is trying to limit face-to-face contact to reduce the chance of either officers or the public becoming infected. The lobby of the police station is still open to the public with the rear area limited to employees much as it always has been. Chief Lordino says the biggest change will be seen when officers respond to non-priority and non-emergency calls. PLAY SOUNDBITE Lordino encourages the public to use the telephone and email for as much business with the police department as possible, just as his officers are already doing. The department’s main non-emergency line is 308-432-0510 and email addresses are available on the Chadron Police Department’s website and Facebook page. Lordino says he’s happy to talk to anyone with questions.
