Chadron Stars Of Tomorrow On Tap After 2-Week Snow Delay

      The annual Chadron Kiwanis Club Stars of Tomorrow talent contest, originally scheduled two weeks ago but postponed by a snowstorm, is todayat the Chadron High School Auditorium. It begins at 4:00, an hour later than originally scheduled.

There are 4 age divisions with individual and group competitors including vocalists, instrumentalists, and dancers. Division I is K-3rd grade, Div II is 4th-6th grades; Divi III is 7th-9th grade; and Div IV is 10th-12th grades.

     The top three placers in each division receive trophies while the senior division winner receives a $150 scholarship and the right to advance to the district contest later this spring in Colorado. 

       Chadron Chamber of Commerce executive director Gabby Michna is the Mistress of Ceremonies, a role she says is one of her most enjoyable.

 Providing entertainment while the judges are compiling the results will be magician and former Chadron Kiwanis Stars of Tomorrow winner Jerad Fernau.
