The Chadron State College golf team finished eighth, out of twelve teams, on the third and final day of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Championships at Whirlwind Golf Club in Chandler, Arizona.

“We were disappointed walking off the last green,” said CSC Head Golf Coach John Ritzen. “We started to put something together today, and then we struggled the last several holes. They had a good week but weren’t satisfied. Jordan [Grasis] played some great golf but found some trouble on 16. Brooke [Kramer] and Kinsey [Smith] also put a great three days together, and that helped us out a lot. We don’t play many 54-hole tournaments, but four women had some of our best 54-hole performances.”

The 957-stroke team score, after three rounds, was the lowest recorded in recent history for a three-round tournament.

Junior Jordan Grasis finished tied for 18th ,individually, out of 59 golfers, to lead the Eagles. She was tied for fifth, statistically, with an even score on par-fives, through three rounds. Grasis carded an individual score of 77-79-79-235.

Colorado Christian recorded 299-293-290 to get to 882 and win the tournament by eight strokes over the University of Colorado Colorado Springs.

CCU’s Faith Kilgore finished at 72-73-68-213 to take the individual crown for the RMAC.
