Chadron Winter Ban Of On-Street Parking For RVs And All Trailers Starts Sunday

The Chadron Police Department is reminding residents that tomorrow, November 1st, brings the city’s annual ban on parking recreational vehicles and trailers of any type on city streets.

Sgt Jarvis Wallage says the City Council passed the ban 4 years ago in an effort to keep the streets clear during winter so snow removal is easier.

Sgt Wallage says the police department is once again asking residents to assist in those efforts by keeping the below listed vehicle types from City streets by 1 November and through 31 March of each year.

        City Ordinance §16-308:

Any motor vehicle or trailer designed and used as a travel trailer, camper, motor home, tent trailer, boat trailer, ATV/UTV trailer, snowmobile trailer, camping trailer, cargo trailer, trailer of any kind, or bus.

Wallage says anyone who would like a complete copy of the parking ban ordinance or to speak with an officer about it can feel free to call him at the Chadron Police Dept at (308) 432-0510 or to e-mail at jwallage@chadronpd.com.
