Chadron Woman Facing Felony Assault Charge For Attack With Broken Mirror

A Chadron Woman has been charged with multiple counts for an incident 2 weeks ago in which she allegedly assaulted 2 people.

31-year old Nona Warrior is charged with felony 2nd Degree Assault as well as 3rd Degree assault and trespassing, both misdemeanors, in connection with a Sept 30th disturbance in a Chadron mobile home park.

Chadron Police Sgt Patrick Young says officers responding to a 9:30 disturbance call found a woman with multiple injuries and her taken to the hospital by ambulance for treatment.

An investigation at the scene found bloodstains and shards of glass from a mirror with witnesses telling the officers that Warrior had attacked the injured woman with one of the pieces of the mirror.

Young says the witnesses also reported that Warrior had attacked a man who was at the scene, but had not used a weapon against him. Officers located and arrested Warrior, taking her to the Dawes County Jail without incident.

Sgt Young says he’s “thankful that this incident did not escalate further and was resolved without further injury.”
