Cheyenne High Schools May Have Graduation Ceremonies

CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) – Plans for in-person high school graduation ceremonies next month are tentatively back on in Cheyenne.

The school district in Wyoming’s biggest city had been considering alternatives due to the coronavirus, but each of the city’s 4 high schools is now looking at graduation ceremonies June 12 and 13 at Frontier Park Arena, home of the Cheyenne Frontier Days rodeo.

School Superintendent Boyd Brown says local health officials need to approve the plan but seem positive about the idea while Frontier Days organizers are eagerly viewing the graduation ceremonies as a trial run for their event in July.
