Will accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, cook, and present a variety of hot and/or cold food items for various meal periods: to include Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Special/Catered Events, and Dietary needs. Duties to include but not limited to:
· Preparing ingredients, adhering to the dietary/hospital menu.
· Follow food health and safety procedures.
· Cook, clean, assist other cooks and staff
· Deliver/Serve food to patients
· Wash dishes
Experience in previous quantity food preparation is desirable. On the job training is given.
Ability to read, speak, write, and follow oral and written directions. Course work may include food preparation, sanitation, hygiene, methods of cooking, purchase of food, estimating food requirements and management of kitchen and storeroom.
