A one-night wake service starts Mon, Feb 14, at 2:00 at the Gordon City Auditorium.

Barbara Jane (No Leaf) American Horse was born on July 26, 1958 in Gordon, NE to Agnes Bird Head and Noah No Leaf. Barbara made her journey to the Spirit World on February 4, 2022 at her home in Grand Island, NE.

Barbara is survived by her lifelong friend and husband, Gene American Horse; children, Alfonso and Carla, both of Gordon, NE, Josephine of Grand Island, NE, Aaron and Kayla, both of York, NE, Nichole of Lincoln, NE, Mike Lovejoy of McCook, NE, Jessica of Grand Island, NE, and Sage of Florida; brothers, John, Neal, Jerry, Hokus, and George; sisters, Marie, Alice, and Josephine; and numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Agnes Bird Head and Noah No Leaf; brothers, Jarvis and Jim No Leaf; sister, Marcene Yellow Hair; granddaughters, Baby American Horse, Alyssa Rose Hollow Horn, and Renee Dawn Bowen.

Pallbearers will be Juan Ramos, Enrique Ramos, Latrell Tayle, Sr., Daelaquan Garnette, Angelo American Horse, De’Vonte Hollow Horn, Dave Charging Thunder, and Alfonso American Horse, Jr.
