Funeral services for 22-year old Brandon Wounded Arrow are Friday, August 28, 2020 at 2:00 PM at the Brenda Wounded Arrow residence – 1105 Johnson Holy Rock Drive in Batesland, SD, with Fr. Edmund Yainao, S.J., officiating and traditional Lakota services by Mr Rick Grey Grass
Burial services will be at St Luke’s Episcopal Cemetery in Sharp’s Corner, SD
A one-night wake service starts Thursday, August 27, at 10:00 AM, also at the Brenda Wounded Arrow residence in Batesland.
Brandon Joseph Wounded Arrow “Wanbli Hoksila” was born on June 10, 1998 in Chadron, NE to Horace Wounded Arrow and Rhonda (Menninger) Wounded Arrow. Brandon made his journey to the Spirit World on August 19, 2020 in Rapid City, SD.
Brandon was preceded in death by his mother, Rhonda (Menninger) Wounded Arrow; sister, Jaimie Wounded Arrow; brother, Sam Deloria; uncle, Adam Wounded Arrow; and grandparents, Matilda Wounded Arrow, Harry Wounded Arrow, Cecelia Wounded Arrow, Julia Spider, Albert Spider and Charlene Black Horse.
Brandon is survived by his father, Horace Wounded Arrow of Rapid City, SD; siblings, Brenda Wounded Arrow of Batesland, SD, Nicole Wounded Arrow of Saint Lucie, FL, Korona Black Elk of Fort Meyers, FL, George Hawk Wing of Sioux Falls, SD, Marla Big Boy of Pine Ridge, SD, Harold (Judy) Silk of New Sharon, IA and Vine Deloria of Albuquerque, NM; grandmother, Della Menninger of Saint Lucie, FL; uncles/aunts, Marty (Pam) Wounded Arrow of Martin, SD, Purvis Wounded Arrow of Sisseton, SD, Arletta Wounded Arrow of Belle Fourche, Sd, Mark Wounded Arrow of Omaha, NE, Velma wounded Arrow of Rapid City, SD and Florence Sierra of Batesland, SD; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and Friends.
Pallbearers will be Antoine Blue Bird, Sam Bear Robe, Jr., Wanbli Ska Sierra, Jacob Bianas, Terrance Freeman, Terrel Tail, Brandon Sierra, Henry Red Cloud, Anthony Lawrence, Jacob Silk and Marcus Ten Fingers.
