Burial is at the Hehaka Sundance Grounds Cemetery
A two-wake service starts Thursday, August 19, at 1:30 at the Little Wound House of Prayer in Little Wound, SD . The second night starts Friday, August 20, at 1:00 PM at the Hehaka Sundance Grounds
Danielle Faye Good Voice Elk “Wanbli Ihanke Gle Win” was born on August 7, 1988 in Pine Ridge, SD to Charles Good Voice Elk and Devona (Featherman) Good Voice Elk. Danielle made her journey to the Spirit World on August 10, 2021 in Rapid City, SD.
Danielle was an outgoing person. She was a helpful, caring, and loving person. She got along with everyone. She enjoyed singing behind the family drum as she was a “Wicaglata.”
Danielle also loved working as a substitute teacher at Little Wound Middle School. She was also going to work on obtaining her Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice. She loved her brothers and sisters so much. She put everything on hold to focus on raising her daughter, Celeste Larae.
Danielle is survived by her parents, Devona Good Voice Elk & Charles Good Voice Elk; daughter, Celeste Larae; and siblings, Vanessa Good Voice Elk of Kyle, SD, Chelsea Good Voice Elk, Lyndon Good Voice Elk of Sioux Falls, SD, and Charles Good Voice Elk, Jr.; and Hunka Mother, Imogene Roy.
Danielle was preceded in death by her grandparents, William Good Voice Elk, Sr., Rosemary Brings Him Back-Good Voice Elk, Everette Featherman, Theresa One Horn-Featherman, Willard & Mary Rose Kills On Water, Alvin & Georgiana Has No Horse, Bernard One Horn, Olivia One Horn, Pearl Monroe, Melvin Featherman, and Lyle Featherman; and uncle, William “Billy” Good Voice Elk, Jr.
Pallbearers will be Charles Good Voice Elk, Jr., Mark Iron Cloud, Wakinyan Little Moon, Antonion Frazier, Jr., Lyndon Good Voice Elk, Mahpiya Menard, Rachel Good Voice Elk, Emmett Kelly, Phillip Brown, Jr., and Wayne Dreaming Bear.
