Funeral services for 38-year old Ronald Mousseaux Jr are Sat, July 23, 2022 at 10:00 at the Mousseaux residence, 2.5 miles east of Pine Ridge, SD, with Pastor Curtis Hoyt officiating and traditional Lakota services by Adam Little Elk and Mike Little Boy Sr.  

Burial Services is at Our Lady of the Sioux Catholic Cemetery in Oglala, SD.

A three-night wake service begins Wed, July 20, 2022 at 1:00 with the first two nights at Joyner Hall in Pine Ridge. Friday, the wake moves at 6:00 to the Mousseaux residence 2.5 miles east of Pine Ridge

Ronald Mousseaux Jr “Tatanka Canupa Hoksila” ~Buffalo Pipe Boy~

was born on January 25, 1984, in Gordon, NE, to Ronald Mousseaux Sr and Genievive “Jenny” Long. Ronald made his journey to the Spirit World on July 11, 2022 at the Pine Ridge IHS Hospital.

Ronald is survived by his children Taylor, Obadiah, Ambrose, & Ashley Mousseaux; significant other Annie Walking; grandson Markelle RJ Mousseaux; brothers Justin (Sheryl) Mousseaux, David (Miranda) Mousseaux, and Lydell (Jennifer) Mousseaux; nieces & nephews Osheanna Blanche, David Mousseaux Jr, Manuel Mousseaux, Lahonna Mousseaux, Oliver J. Mousseaux, Jalissa Mousseaux, and Tristan & Austin Mousseaux; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Ronald was preceded in death by his children Sioux Dawn Rae Mousseaux and Desmond Wayne Walking; parents Ronald Mousseaux Sr and Genievive “Jenny” Long; sister, Jackie Mousseaux; brothers Jason Mousseaux and Matthew John Mousseaux; grandparents, Blanche Crane, Ramona Long, and Dave Long; great-grandparent Taylor Mousseaux; aunts Tara Long, Marilyn (Cross Dog) Deer, and Etta Cross Dog; uncle Manuel Long; cousins, Francis “Wobbles” Long Sr, Millie Mousseaux, Hannah Harris-Long, Gerald Crane, Casey Brian Long, and Carmen Mousseaux; grandson, Leo Edward Starr; and nephew, Baby Mousseaux.

Pallbearers will be Dale Garnier, Alvin Hard Heart, Clayton “Strawberry” Fire Thunder, CJ “Sid” Long, Austin Starr, Lance Black Horn, Irwin White Lance, Floyd Running Hawk, and Al Two Two.

Honorary pallbearers will be Badd Werks Motorcycle Club, Ben Cummings, All Yellow Bear Sundancers, and All Friends & Relatives.
