Memorial services for 51-year-old Tyrone Dean Marshall are  Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at 2:00 at the Allen CAP Office in Allen, SD, with traditional Lakota services by Mr Lionel Yellow Hawk.

Cremation will follow the services. 

A one-night wake service starts Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at 4:00, also at the Allen CAP Office in Allen, SD

Tyrone Dean Marshall was born on October 8, 1969 in Pine Ridge, SD to John Wayne Plenty Arrows and Shirley Emma Marshall-Hamel.  Tyrone made his journey to the Spirit World on August 17, 2021 in Rapid City, SD.

Tyrone is survived by his daughters, Michelle Jean Stewart of CO, Makayla Rayelyn Marshall and Janelle Rose Marshall, both of Hot Springs, SD; son, Brandon Lee Marshall of Monte Vista, CO; sisters, Neva Hamel, Martha Whirlwind Horse, and Mollie Whirlwind Horse, all of Allen, SD, Ella Spotted Elk of Casa Grande, AZ, and Marietta Plenty Arrows of Allen, SD; brothers, Tancrede “Bok” Hamel of Sioux Falls, SD, Gary Bad Wound of Granville, ND, Moses Whirlwind Horse of Minneapolis, MN, Derek Marshall of Wagner, SD, John Plenty Arrows of Martin, SD, Mario Plenty Arrows of Alliance, NE, and Curtis Hernandez, Sr. of Rapid City, SD; and grandchildren, Allen McGinnis, Aurora McGinnis, JaeLynn Huston, Helen Bechtold, Delilah Allison, and NovaLynn Marshall.

Tyrone was preceded in death by his parents, Shirley Marshall-Hamel and John Wayne Plenty Arrows; step-father, William “Willie” Whirlwind Horse; sisters, Marla and Chelsea Marshall; brother, John “Johnny” Sitting Bear, Jr.; aunt, Kathryn Marshall; grandmothers, Martha Trouble in Front and Lena Bear Killer; grandfather, Joel Esau Marshall; and uncles, Eli Marshall, Steven Marshall, Robert Marshall, William Marshall, Richard Marshall, and Eldon Marshall. 

Pallbearers will be Tim Bull Bear, Brandon Marshall, Bennett Yellow Hawk, Leoni Yellow Hawk, Derek Marshall, Mario Standing Bear, Sr., Ray Takes War Bonnet, Jr., and Curtis Hernandez, Sr.

Honorary pallbearers will be All Friends & Relatives.
