The number of active COVID-19 cases and the number of individuals hospitalized from the disease in South Dakota both increased on Friday, according to the latest figures for the state Dept of Health.
There were 283 new COVID-19 cases Friday compared to 224 recoveries, pushing the number of active cases to 2,515 with 98 hospitalizations, 18 more than on Thurs. South Dakota has 16,117 total cases along with 13,425 and 177 deaths.
Wyoming, on the other hand, saw a big reduction in its active cases with 146 recoveries and just 46 new confirmed cases dropping the total to 388. Wyoming has 3,605 total cases with 3,175 recoveries and 42 deaths.
