Crawford Suffers Losses

The Crawford Lady Rams picked up a win over Morrill Tuesday night, putting them at 7-8 overall after they dropped two matches over the weekend at the Potter-Dix Invite and a third regular season contest against South Platte.

The Rams swept Morrill in three Tuesday in sets of 25-22, 25-18 and 25-22. The match served up revenge on the Morrill Lions, who defeated the Rams Saturday in Potter-Dix. Morrill took that match in two sets, 25-13, 25-20. Crawford also lost in two close sets Saturday to Perkins County, 25-23, 25-20, and also dropped a game against South Platte Friday, losing in a sweep. South Platte won in sets of 25-13, 25-7 and 25-18. The Lady Rams will play Hay Springs at home Oct. 1.

The Rams also suffered a loss on the gridiron against South Platte last Friday in a 41-0 shut-out. South Platte scored 20 points in the first quarter and led 33-0 by the end of the half. They capped it off with another eight in the third quarter. Crawford put up just 45 rushing yards and 46 through the air. Crawford will take on Hay Springs at home Oct. 1.
