CSC Student Killed Friday Night In Collision With Semi In The SandhillsPosted by John AxtellDate: September 14, 20201812 Views Authorities in central Nebraska say a Chadron State College student from Gibbon was killed Friday night in Custer County when her car crashed into a semi hauling vehicles. The Custer County Sheriff’s Office says 19-year-old Erica Morgan was alone except for her cat Milo when the accident occurred on Hwy 2 about a mile east of Berwyn. Morgan died at the scene while the truck driver and a passenger were taken to a Broken Bow hospital with injuries. Their medical conditions have not been released Erica Morgan grew up in Gibbon and graduated from Gibbon High School in 2019 before starting last fall at Chadron State, where she was majoring in geology.
