CSC Wrestling Wraps Up Top 10 Recruiting Class

The Chadron State College wrestling program finished its recruiting class of 2020 recently, and received a No. 8 recruiting ranking in NCAA Division II on Tuesday from TheOpenMat.com, an online wrestling publication.

This is the second consecutive year the website has ranked Division II recruiting.

The Eagles’ haul includes 15 new athletes from seven different states.

Wrestlers who will join the CSC program in the fall are Teven Marshall (Mullen, Neb. – 2020 class D 120-pound champ); Nate Hartman (Omaha Millard West – class A placer); Casey Benavides (Bridgeport, Neb. – 2019 Class C 106-pound champ); Jackson Eklund (Gregory, S.D. – 2020 Class B 145-pound champ); Parker Seeley (Sundance, Wyo. – 2020 2A 145-pound champ); Sebastion Robles (Port Orchard, Wash. – ranked NJCAA No. 6 157-pounder); Travis Waldner (Dexter, Mo. – 2020 Class 2 170-pound runner up); Dean Neff (Jefferson, Wis. – 2020 Class D2 170-pound 3rd place finisher); Rowdy Pfeil (Moorcroft, Wyo. – 2x 2A 182-pound champ); Stone Durham (Rapid City, S.D. – 4x state qualifier); Micaiah Grace (Custer, S.D. – 2020 Class B 170-pound runner-up); Joe Renner (Englewood, Colo. – 2020 5A 182-pound runner-up); Parker Merritt (Star Valley, Wyo. – 2019 3A 285-pound champ); Parker Schlater (Moorcroft, Wyo. – 3x 2A runner-up); and Waylon Marshall (Mission, S.D. – 2020 Class B 285-pound placer).
