Funeral services for 79-year old Darlene Young Bull Bear are Friday, September 18, 2020 at 10:00 AM at the St. Stephen’s Catholic Church on North Route in Kyle, SD, with all ministers welcome to join in officiating and with traditional Lakota services by Ms Darla Black
Burial services are at St. Stephen’s Catholic Cemetery, North Route-Kyle, SD
A one-night wake service starts at 2:00 PM, Thursday, September 17, 2020 at 2:00 PM, also at St Stephen’s Catholic Church, North Route-Kyle, SD.
Darlene E. Young Bull Bear was born on March 23, 1941 in Pine Ridge, SD to Robert Dan Young Bull Bear and Irene (Chief Bear) Young Bull Bear. Darlene passed away at the Sturgis Transitional Care in Sturgis, SD.
She will be greatly missed by all who loved her and knew her.
Darlene is survived by her daughters, Lawanda (Adam) Clifford and Donella (Stuart) Janis; son, Lowry Black Bear; grandchildren, Alaina, Britny, Dustin, Angela, Jenna, Saraya, Bailey, Riley, LeahJo, & Logan; and great grandchildren, Lyman, Desmond III, James, Cataleya, TyLee, Cali, and Arailee.
Darlene was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Dan and Irene (Chief Bear) Young Bull Bear; sons, Lee Aaron and Sherwood Black Bear.
Pallbearers will be Dustin Black Bear, Elwin Brave Heart, Adam Clifford, Albert Curry, Jr., Harold Hunter, Stuart Janis, Darrell Little White Man, and Egan Tallman.
