Deadline Approaching For Free Summer Sports Series In Chadron For Children With Special Health Needs – And Their Siblings

   Friday is the registration deadline for a free Summer Sports Series for children with special needs and their siblings being coordinated in Chadron by Western Community Health Resources.

       Any child with special needs, typically one with an IEP or IFSP or diagnosed with a medical or mental health condition requiring extra care is eligible along with their brothers and sisters.

       There will be two dates: a week from Saturday on July 23rd at Panhandle Gymnastics and August 19th at Consuming Fire School of Dance and Gymnastics.

       Each date has 3 sessions: 9-11:00 fir age 3 through 2nd grade, 1-3:00 for 3rd-6th grade, and 3-5:00 for 7th grade and up.

     Panhandle Gymnastics will share some basics on gymnastics and on Ninjazone, which combines gymnastics, martial arts, obstacle course training, and freestyle movement.

     The sessions at Consuming Fire will offer instruction in two kinds of dance – tap and ballet – as well as gymnastics.

       Similar programs are being offered in Alliance and the Scottsbluff-Gering area with 3 dates in the Twin Cities and one in Alliance.
