Dr Accused Of Killing Husband Free On Bond

An Omaha doctor scheduled for a residency in Scottsbluff before she fatally shot her husband last month near North Platte while driving back from a visit to Scottsbluff is free on bail.

31-year-old Kathleen Jourdan was released from the Lincoln County jail in North Platte Thursday after putting up 10% cash on her million dollar bail.

Jourdan is charged with 2nd-degree murder and felony use of a deadly weapon in the June 17 killing of 35-year-old Joshua Jourdan.

She told police they were arguing with her husband driving on Interstate 80 when he pulled over and made movements she felt were threatening. Jourdan said he’d been violent in the past and that she shot him with a gun they kept in their SUV – explaining that she feared for herself and the children.
