Elias Tasunka Iyotaka Flying Horse “Isnala Wica” was born on February 27, 2008. in Sioux Falls, SD, to John Flying Horse and Tessie Lee Bear Robe. Elias made his journey to the Spirit World on November 17, 2022, in Pine Ridge, SD.
Elias is survived by his father Johnny Flying Horse; grandmothers Bonita Andrews, Joyce Bear Robe, Georgia Tail, Sonja DuBray, Gloria No Neck, Erna Shepard, Karen Red Elk, and Eva Mesteth; grandfathers Donnie Mesteth, Eli Tail, and Richard Flying Horse; and siblings Patricia Red Cloud, Adam Bear Robe, Andrew Bear Robe, LaShawnda Red Cloud, Kimberlin Red Cloud, Philip Standing Soldier Jr, Johnny Flying Horse Jr, and Jasmine Flying Horse.
Elias was preceded in death by his mother,Tessie Bear Robe; twin sister Eternity Flying Horse; brother Derek Red Cloud Sr; uncles Andrew Bear Robe, Samuel Bear Robe Sr, TJ Mesteth, Eric Brown Bull, Harold Brown Bull, Shiloh Pourier, Mike Mesteth, Ronnie High Bear, Ryan High Bear, Michael Steele, and Nick Janis; aunts Mona Mesteth, Darmalee Tail, Tricia Steele, Gilmanita Haas, and Karen Running Hawk; cousins Samantha Bear Robe and Nick Janis; grandmothers Agnes Bear Robe, June Janis, Julie Brady, Lenora Running Hawk, Carolyn Yellow Boy, and Ruth Bonnie Janis; and grandfathers Joe Bear Robe, Ollie Bear Robe, Charles Bear Robe, Andrew Bear Robe Sr, Dean Andrews, Jeffery Tail, Matt Mesteth Sr, and Tyrone Mesteth.
