EWC Reopening Torrington Campus

TORRINGTON – Eastern Wyoming College will reopen its main campus in Torringon on Monday.

President Dr Lesley Travers says the school has received a variance from coronavirus rules with support and guidance from Goshen County Public Health and Goshen County Emergency Management

Travers says EWC is excited to have welding and cosmetology students come back to campus to complete their spring semester classes, including some who already have jobs. Gunsmithing and adult education students will also be back.

Other academic areas and services such as the Library, Community Education, and the Testing Center will also reopen on a limited basis on Monday. The EWC Fitness Center will reopen with limited hours and safety protocols including no more than 9 patrons at any given time.

All employees and students returning to campus are required to attend training in person or by video on appropriate safety protocols.

Employees will work half-time on campus and half from home with on-campus safety screening involving temperature checks, the use of masks or face coverings and gloves, and 6-foot social distancing. Campus visitors will also be required to wear masks
